Wow! Big Week For the Tour Last Week
Even though we were short on players we were not short of pool rooms willing to give something new to the players. Players
if you’re playing in BTRT be sure to let the pool rooms know how much you appreciate their willingness to let us play
in their room. So here we go with new commitments from last week.

been awhile since you’ve visited Rack ‘Em they’ve had some remodel going on. Stop in and check it out. I
hear it’s pretty nice with more amenities.

To All Players (especially new players)
We hold tri-annual events and our next one is Dec. 10-11th. What this means is there is a
$35/entry and players must have played 11 matches to qualify for participation. Hosting rooms will be adding money and so
will the tour. All rooms play simultaneously on Saturday and Sunday. We play 2 opening rounds. The top 75% of the field moves
to the sudden death round which is one match. The top 1/3 of the field moves to the finals on Sunday. We anticipate west coast
play to begin at 11:00am and finish up by 5:00pm. East Coast you will start at 2:00 and finish up by about 8:00pm if we all
stay on schedule. Sunday finals will begin at 12:00 west coast and 3:00pm east coast. Players will play 2 matches for the
final and your best match is used to determine the finishes. Players can play multiple matches in a week to get your matches
in. Start playing now.
Marietta Players
Giselle is out of town this week. MBC has canceled their event for Weds. Oct. 26 th. Regular
events will start back up next week Weds. 7:30, Nov. 2. Matt Ellsworth will be running Dave & Buster’s event Sunday
1:00, Oct 30 so be there and bring your game. Tacoma is waiting for you.
Site Change
By the end of the week we will have a search on the rankings and members pages. This search will allow you to search by
player name or by member number for quick easy reference. Thanks Brian Dietzenbach for all your crying. You’ve brought
change for the players.
New Players
Attention new players: You are all playing in the scratch division for your first ten matches, until you have established
an average. Once you have an average you will be placed in the appropriate division. Players that come in with an average
of over 90 after two matches will go on the waiting list for an upper level division to start. Players that score an average
over 70 after three matches will also be put on a waiting list for the Advanced division to gear up. Getting on the waiting
list is important because we won’t know how many players we have unless you tell us. If you’re an upper level
player and want to participate be sure to let your EC know. Once we reach a certain number of players we will begin running
those divsioins. If you know other upper level players that might want to play have them talk to your local EC for more information.
New Site additions
We are currently in negotiations with a new tip manufacture from the UK to sell their tips which will generate sponsorship
for the tour. If you’re in need a new tip we should have them available within the next couple of weeks. We will keep
you posted on this.
Scoring Your Stats
I can’t tell you how important it is that you fill out your stats on your score sheets correctly. It could be the
difference between a win and a loss.
Magic Racks
We now have Magic Racks, 8 ball and 9/10 ball combos, available for you. BCA allows the Magic Racks at nationals so players
going to Lincoln City and or nationals get yours now. I’ve heard that TAPP league will also be allowing the use of the
racks next year but I don’t have the final on that. I will let you know when I hear more.
You can talk to your event coordinator if you’d like to purchase your own Magic Rack or you can Contact the main
office and we’ll ship it to you. Players please know, even the EC’s have to purchase these racks and if you’re
borrowing a Magic Rack from your EC then you’re borrowing their personal property. Please be respectful and courteous.
BTRT encourages the use of Magic Racks but there has been a change in dealership and unfortunately the cost of the racks has
gone up. The 8 ball racks are a single rack and sells for $12 each. A single 9ball/10ball racks are $10 ea. And a 8ball/9ball/10ball
combo pack is $17. The good news is we’re still the least expensive around. Sorry, but we had no control over this pricing
and we’re working on getting some better pricing.
