Is the Valley and BCA tournaments moving from the Riviera to Bally's
a good thing? The Valley tournament is moving this year and the BCA is moving next year. I personally think it is good, The
Riviera has a nice convention center for the tournament. But it is one of the older casinos in Las Vegas and the tournament
has been there for a long time, a lot of pool players I know say its the same thing every year. The Riviera is also towards
the end of the strip so players have to travel further if they want to go do things in other casinos. There is also
a limited amount of restaurants at the Riviera. The vendors also have a fairly small area for their booths the way the tournament
is set up. People stand around the tables to watch the pool matches and it makes it hard to get to the dealer booths. Their
have been times I wanted to go look at something and it was hard to get to the dealers both. I think moving to a
new casino will generate interest in the tournament and get more players to go. I also hope their is more area for the dealers
to have their booths and display their products. I am interested to see what the convention center at Balley's looks
like and what the tournament will be like. I think it will be a positive move for both organisations. It will be interesting
to see if the APA followes the BCA and the VNEA to Balleys. Be sure to check the articles and news feeds section at http://www.roadplayerbilliards.com/ for videos and articles on pool and billiards. We will be constantly
